Matthias Jung (Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern in 2017. Since then, he has been with the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering IESE as an Expert Engineer for “virtual hardware engineering.” His research focus lies on virtual prototyping, automotive, embedded, and autonomous systems, as well as DRAM memory explorations. He holds several patents related to DRAM subsystem design and has published more than 70 publications in the above-mentioned areas. He is the Deputy Managing Director of the Fraunhofer High Performance Center Simulation and Software Based Innovation. He has served several times as the Program Chair for the Conference on Embedded Computer Systems Architectures, Modeling and Simulation (SAMOS). Moreover, he is the Chair for the Training, Education and Youth Committee of the German Amateur Radio Club (DARC).
