For this work he received the Michael Prize of the ILAE in 2001. Dr Koepp chaired the clinical investigator programme of the American Epilepsy Society, is on the editorial board of several other journals, including Nature – Scientific Reports. His research has a particular focus on the structural and functional causes and consequences of epilepsy. In his clinical role, he looks predominantly after people with refractory epilepsy and co-morbidities.
