Matthew S Taubman

Matthew S. Taubman was born in Australia in 1966. He received the Ph. D. degree from the Australian National University in 1995, where he studied experimental and theoretical quantum optics. After two post-doctoral positions in Orsay, France and Boulder, CO, where he studied laser stabilization for gravity wave detection and laser metrology purposes, he joined the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Richland, WA, where he is currently a Senior Research Engineer. His work focuses on the development of highly stable and tunable mid- to long-wave infrared laser transmitters for chemical sensing and optical communications. Dr. Taubman is a member of the Optical Society of America, the International Society of Optical Engineering, the Australian Institute of Physics, and the Institute of Physics.
