Matthew S. Fifer (S'13) received the B.S. degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, USA, in 2009. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, USA, under the mentorship of Dr. Nathan Crone. He has been primarily focused on neural decoding of movement parameters from intracranial EEG signals and translating that knowledge into online control of the JHU/APL Modular Prosthetic Limb.
