个人简介
Dr. Matteo Muratori is a transportation and energy systems engineer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where he leads and supports projects exploring new technology options and policies to promote the deployment of alternative fuel vehicles and related infrastructure. NREL is the United States’ premier laboratory for the research and development of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency, and is widely regarded as the world’s leading research institute in this field.
Formerly the ExxonMobil fellow at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Dr. Muratori interests include studying broad interactions of the transportation sector with other demand and supply sectors, as well as understanding the role of the transportation sector in long-term strategic scenarios. A native of Italy, Matteo has authored or co-authored over 45 technical publications, including high-impact peer-review journals (over 600 citations, h-index: 13) and has been invited to present research results at several venues, including conferences, panels, summits, and international invite-only workshops. He holds B.S. and M.S. summa cum laude degrees in energy engineering from Politecnico di Milano (ranked top University in Italy) and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering, along with a minor degree in statistics, from The Ohio State University.
Awards and Honors
NREL Director's Publication Impact Award – Electrification Futures Study (2018)
U.S. Department of Energy Vehicle Technologies Office Team Award – National Plug-in Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Analysis (2018)
International Conference on Efficiency, Cost, Optimization, and Simulation of Energy Conversion Systems and Processes’ Best Paper Award – Electric Vehicle Market Penetration and Impact on Fuel Taxes (2011)
