Bio
Matt Waks received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, USA, in 2001. He has worked in the medical device industry for the whole of his career, focused on magnetic resonance imaging hardware commercialization and development. He is currently an Electrical Engineer with the Center for Magnetic Resonance Research, Department of Radiology, University of Minnesota. His work continues to focus on advancing an array of hardware solutions for both clinical and preclinical UHF magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy. His primary research interests include RF coil development, interface electronics, MRI system architecture and integration, as well as MRI system maintenance.
