Mathieu Denoel

My work aims to determine patterns and mechanisms of amphibian and freshwater diversity with perspectives in conservation ecology, by a multi-disciplinary approach, encompassing landscape and trophic ecology but also ethology, population dynamics and biogeography. A special focus is given on the adaptive value of complex versus simple life cycles (metamorphosis and paedomorphosis) and the effect of drought, landscape changes and invasive alien species.
