Bio
Mathew Mathai received the B.Eng. degree in polymer engineering from the University of Pune, Pune, India, in 1998, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in polymer science from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, in 2001 and 2004, respectively, where he researched chemical and morphological factors limiting the lifetime performance of organic light emitting diodes.
He joined Osram Opto Semiconductors Inc., San Jose, CA, as a Device Scientist where he was part of the Materials and Devices team developing solution processed PHOLEDs for solid-state lighting. In December 2005, he joined Plextronics Inc. where he currently leads the Device Analysis group involved in high performance hole injection layer development for OLEDs and active layers for organic photovoltaic applications.
