Bio
I lead the SCD Computational Biology group. Our primary interest is in computational structural biology. The CCP4 and CCP-EM teams develop software for two of the major experimental techniques. The biomolecular simulation team pursue research using molecular dynamics on specific protein systems, and support the CCPBioSim and HECBioSim projects.
I also lead Hartree Centre projects in a number of bioinformatics areas, including algorithms for de novo transcriptome assembly.
I have research interests in the area of protein dynamics, particularly with respect to the interpretation of X-ray diffraction data.
