个人简介
Dr Luysberg is a senior scientist at the Ernst Ruska Centre (formely PGI 5) since 1997. Her main research field is advanced electron microscopy and spectroscopy of energy-related and oxide materials as well as of layered chalcogenides (topoligical insulators and phase change materials) and semiconductors.
Dr. Luysberg graduated with a diploma in physics in 1990 at the RWTH Aachen University, which was awarded by the Borchers Prize. In 1993 she received the Dr. rer. nat. with summa cum laude by the RWTH Aachen University for her work on structural defects in plastically deformed InP. In 1993/94 she joined the Institute of Photovoltaic of the Research Centre Juelich as a postdoc. A Feodor-Lynen stipend of the Humboldt foundation enabled her to do research on Low-temperature GaAs at the University of California at Berkeley in 1996/97. Since 1997 she is leading a group working on materials for green IT, where atomic-scale investigations of structure, composition and chemical bonding are performed in collaboration with theoreticians, crystal growers and device designers.
Dr. Luysberg organized two international conferences (EMC 2008, Aachen, FEMMS 2005, Vaals) and schools (34th IFF spring school 2003, School on Advanced Analytical Electron Microscopy SAAM 2017), has been in the program committee of MC2011(Kiel) and MC 2013 (Regensburg) and was member of the board of the German Electron Microscopy Society from 2006-13. She has been elected as member of the Executive Committee of E-MRS (2018-2020). From 2005-2008 she has been the Coordinator of the Ernst-Ruska Centre at Research Centre Juelich.
