个人简介
Key areas of research have included: biogeochemical nutrient dynamics in shallow lakes and the interactions between nutrient cycling and biological structure, trophic structure and dynamics in lakes and the impact from nutrients, recovery of lakes after nutrient loading reduction, methods for lake restoration and effects of climate changes on lakes. Specific research areas include: phosphorus exchange between sediment and water, internal phosphorus loading, and how to implement the European Water Framework for lakes in Denmark. Research involves studies at ecosystem level as well as detailed studies and analyses of comprehensive data sets obtained from the Danish national lake monitoring programme as well as from European reasearch projects.
