mechanism of scintillation and radiation damage in new scintillator crystals as CeF3, PbWO4 Yb- and Ce-doped Lutetium compounds;
problems related the the excitonic emission and emission related to the various (intrinsic) point defect centres;
quantum confinement effects in the foreign aggregated phases (quantum dots) in selected halide crystal matrices
