个人简介
Currently I am a post-doctoral researcher in the Computer Vision Group at RWTH-Aachen, Germany. In 2007, I graduated from University of Karlsruhe (now Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), Germany. I received my PhD, "Object detection for urban modelling" in 2013, under the guidance of Professor Luc Van Gool at KU Leuven, Belgium.
In my research I work on improving speed and accuracy of object detection, e.g. for pedestrians, traffic signs, cars. I am also interested in 3D city modeling, for example by using procedural grammars, and semantic segmentation going towards full scene understanding.
Apart from my professional interests, I spend my free time with various sportive activities, such as mountain biking, snowboarding, paragliding... Some of my activities are also documented in the Alpen-Guide blog (German) or in my youtube channel.
