Bio
Dr. Siegel graduated from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1988 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. He was a Pulmonary & Critical Care fellow at Yale from 1992-95 and has been a full time Yale faculty member since then. Dr. Siegel is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. He was previously co-chair of the Hospital Bioethics committee. His major clinical focus is in the Intensive Care unit and he attends in the MICU and on the General Internal Medicine services. Dr. Siegel serves on the Editorial Boards of Critical Care Medicine, Chest, the Annals of the American Thoracic Society, and the American Journal of Medicine. He is the recipient of several teaching awards and has participated in several multi-center trials investigating new therapies for the treatment of critical illness. He currently serves as Program Director of the Yale Traditional Internal Medicine Residency and Course Director of the Internal Medicine Subinternship
