个人简介
Marina Vigário is Associate Professor at the Department of Linguistics of the School of Arts and Humanities of University of Lisbon. Her research is focused on language acquisition and development, prosodic structure, rhythm and intonation, and frequency and grammar. She is interested in producing fundamental research, language resources, and translational research in various areas. In fundamental research, her main goal is to uncover knowledge about Portuguese linguistic system, in particular in the domain of phonology and its interfaces with other components of grammar, as well as to contribute this knowledge to the general understanding of linguistic systems and language workings, acquisition and processing. Fundamental knowledge and corpora collection have been instrumental in the development of linguistic tools and resources that are believed to be very useful in many areas, both theoretical and applied. Work in these areas has naturally nourished her growing committed to doing translational research, in particular in clinical, and more in general in the health care domain. An important part of her work has been done in a multidisciplinary, rich environment, in collaboration with specialists coming from various different knowledge domains, including phoneticians, phonologists, syntacticians, psycholinguists, psychologists, neurologists, speech therapists, statisticians, social pharmacists, dentists, pediatricians.
