During her postdoctoral work in the lab of Michael Dyer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, she optimized a protocol to reprogram adult murine retinal cells to induced pluripotent stem cells and then re-differentiate them into retinal tissue in a 3D culture system. In 2016, Marie joined the editorial team of the Nature Partner Journals as a Managing Editor, and, in 2019, she joined the Communications Biology team part-time as a Consulting Editor. Marie is based in the New York office. Then, she joined the BMC Medicine Editorial Team as a Senior Editor in 2020. In 2021, Marie left Springer Nature to embark on an adventure with Cell Press on their interdisciplinary journal, iScience.
