Bio
I hold a PhD from Aarhus University, Denmark, in Arctic permafrost microbiome transcriptomics in response to thaw and erosion. This includes transcriptomics and genomic HT sequencing, incubations, fieldwork in Zackenberg, Greenland and multivariate community analysis. Furthermore I engage in scientific outreach such as for Greenland Ecosystem Monitoring, APECS Denmark national representation and EGU Cryosphere blog writing and editing.
Formerly, I graduated from EMBC+: European Master of Marine Biodiversity and Conservation, which was framed by an international university consortium. This gave rise to research opportunities, such as hydrothermal vent extremophile microbiology Marum Bremen, scientific assistance at the MPI for Marine Microbiology, working on ancient deep-sea RNA and thesis work on transcriptomic analysis of thermally stressed Arctic copepods oboard the R/V Polarstern to the Fram Strait.
