个人简介
I studied my Bachelor Degree in Chemistry and my Master in Green and Sustainable Chemistry in the University of Extremadura in the Department of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry (July 2016) . Later on, I moved to Scotland for 2 months within the program Erasmus + to the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), under the supervision of Dr. Callum McHugh. My activity there was focused on the synthesis and the systematic engineering of crystalline and thin film architectures, typically based upon diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) chemistry, as promising fluorescent dyes for bioimaging applications, as well as components of materials for use in organic electronics.
My PhD Thesis in Turin (Italy) has been funded with a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCAs) award, providing me a unique opportunity to develop my skills as an organic chemist and helping me to improve my scientific abilities and reach professional maturity inside a multidisciplinary atmosphere. Within this European Project, COSMIC (European Training Network for Continuous Sonication and Microwave Reactors), I had the chance to work with young researchers from all around the world and face several scientists in the field of chemistry. Moreover, the short-term exchanges that I spent in Belgium and France, either in the industry and university, allowed me to work in numerous competitive projects, in different research environments and extend my network. Besides, the periodic reports and presentations that I needed to submit to our project manager permitted me to improve my English competences.
Afterwards, I won a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Turin (Italy), in the Department of Organic Chemistry, under the supervision of Prof. Nadia Barbero and Prof. Claudia Barolo withinh the program ARTIBLED. Artificial Fluorescent Proteins for Biological LED - is an EU-funded research program which promotes the replacement of the inorganic filters used in the synthesis of White-LEDs for others inspired by nature.
Last year I had the opportunity to come back to Spain, San Sebastián. My MSCA-IF was granted last year -DELCAT project- and from September 2021 I am staying in the Donostia International Physics Center (Spain). The title of the project I am currently involved is called: Catalysis toward platinum substrates for drug delivery.
