个人简介
Graduated in Biochemistry, Master in Quality Control, Ph.D. in Sustainable Chemistry.
Maria Freitas received her PhD from the University of Porto (FCUP, 2020), and actually, she is a Junior Researcher (CEEC, 2023), at REQUIMTE/LAQV-ISEP. Her research is focused on the development of biosensors with strategic applications of nanomaterials, with emphasis on Medical Engineering (non-communicable disease diagnosis; cancer) and Food Analysis (food allergens; pathogenic bacteria).
Received 3 awards of "Merit in scientific publication on the top ten scientific journals", by P.Porto (2015, 2018, 2023).
In 2023, Maria was honored with the "Young Researcher Prize" by the Portuguese Electrochemical Society.
