个人简介
Marcus D. Henderson, MSN, RN is a Zamoiski Endowed Doctoral Fellow and PhD Candidate at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. He is also a Doctoral Fellow in the SAMHSA Minority Fellowship Program at the American Nurses Association and Adjunct Clinical Faculty in the Department of Family and Community Health at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
Mr. Henderson has professional experience working in community-based, acute psychiatric, and academic settings with expertise in clinical education, psychiatric-mental health nursing, and community health nursing. He currently is a staff nurse at Belmont Behavioral Haelth System and previously was charge nurse for child and adolescent services at Fairmount Behavioral Health System in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Henderson is a passionate and dynamic speaker and leader focusing on the future of nursing, health equity, mental health, and DEI in nursing. Mr. Henderson holds various local, state, and national leadership roles. He currently serves on the American Nurses Association Board of Directors, an Inaugural Member of the National Commission to Address Racism in Nursing, and National Chairman of the HOSA, Inc. Board of Directors, the parent organization of HOSA-Future Health Professionals. Mr. Henderson previously served as a member of the consensus study committee that authored The Future of Nursing 2020-2030: Charting a Path to Achieve Health Equity report and the planning committee on Exploring a Culture of Fairness, Respect, and Anti-Racism Health Professions Education at the National Academy of Medicine.
Mr. Henderson received a BSN and MSN in Health Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. He also holds a certificate in Health Care Innovation from the Perelman School of Medicine.
