个人简介
Marco Aurélio de Oliveira Schroeder received the B.Sc. degree from the Catholic University of Petrópolis (UCP), Petrópolis, Brazil, in 1991 and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in 1996 and 2001, respectively, all in electrical engineering. He is currently an Full Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering (DEPEL) and the Post-Graduate in Electrical Engineering program, Federal University of São João del-Rei (UFSJ), São João del-Rei/MG, Brazil. He is also the Coordinator of the Integrated Laboratory of Electromagnetic Research, DEPEL, UFSJ. His expertise is in the following topics: electromagnetic modeling for studies of electromagnetic transients, grounding and earthing, transmission line performance, lightning, and insulation coordination. He is the Head of the Research Group of High Voltage and Insulation Coordination, GATCI/CNPq. In addition, he is a Registered Researcher of the National Institute of Electric Power and often coordinates research and development projects in the area of lightning performance of transmission lines and installation of surge arresters to improve the performance of transmission lines. From June, 2017 to June, 2018 he was a Postdoc Researcher with Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon.
