个人简介
Associate Professor of psychology at the University of Coimbra. He earned his B.A. degree (1985) in Psychology (Child Mental Health), his Master degree (1990) in Educational Sciences (Educational Psychology) and his Ph.D. degree (1998) in Psychology of Rehabilitation at Coimbra University, Portugal. His scholarship specialities and research interests are psychological rehabilitation, special education, neuropsychology and psychological assessment. On the gifted issue his research interests are longitudinal studies, neuropsychology of talents, curriculum acceleration and psychological assessment. On the learning disabilities issue his research interests are early screening and neuropsychology of dyslexia. He has had 28years experience as rehabilitation psychologist and special educator. He has written many articles and chapters books. He coordinates the Enrichment program for the Gifted at Coimbra University and is a researcher in the project A visual view on the reading deficit in dyslexia (IBILI/FMUC/FPCE), funding (2011-2014) by the FCT (Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia).
