个人简介
Our research includes the evaluation of changes associated with feeding behavior and neurogenesis induced by the diet. My research team is formed by students, young researchers, and national and international collaborators. Our principal aim is to elucidate the role of the glial proteins in the sensing of nutrients and how its modulation affects feeding behavior. Specifically, in the interaction of tanycytes with neuroendocrine hypothalamic neurons. We are interested in knowing the function of glial proteins and modulating their expression to demonstrate that this affects neuropeptides involved in the feeding behavior and neuronal activity. Our studies mainly focus on nutrient transporters, metabolic pathways, essential enzymes, and non-selective channels located in the glia and transporters and receptors found in neurons.
