个人简介
Manuel Silva is currently the Dean of Porto Accounting and Business School (ISCAP – IPP).
He holds an MD from Porto University in Terminology and Translation and a PhD from the New University of Lisbon in Linguistics.
He is the Coordinator of the Research Unit in Languages, Communication and Education (CLOE) at the at the R&D Unit CEOS.PP, where he was a former member of the Directive Board.
As a researcher he also collaborates with INESC TEC – Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science - (Associated Laboratory).
He is the President of the Executive Committee of the Portuguese Language Centres Association (ReCLes.pt), a member of CERCLES Network and represents Porto Polytechnic in CARPE Network Coordination Committee.
Collaborates as an expert for the Portuguese Erasmus+ National Agency.
His research interests range from knowledge management and ontology engineering to terminology and translation studies, computational linguistics, localization, ESP, CLIL and e/b-learning. In these domains, he has participated in several national and international projects.
Has published several articles in indexed scientific journals and proceedings and was co-editor of several scientific publications and co-author of technical books, like Revista RTIC – Revista de Tecnologias, Informação e Comunicação https://revistas.ponteditora.org/index.php/rtic or e3 – Revista de Economia, Empresas e Empreendedores na CPLP - https://revistas.ponteditora.org/index.php/e3. Currently collaborates with several scientific committees of indexed journals and national and international conferences
