Bio
Fabio Mangini received the B.Sc. degree in clinical engineering and the M.Sc. degree in biomedical engineering (cum laude) from the La Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy, in 2005 and 2008, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electromagnetism from the Department of Information Engineering, Electronics, and Telecommunications of the La Sapienza University of Rome in 2014. In June 2014 and in May 2015, he was the recipient of the Young Scientist Award from URSI (International Union of Radio Science), in January 2017 Ph.D. ITalents prize, and in October 2018 Marabelli prize. Between 2009 and 2015 he was with the Laboratory of Electromagnetic Fields II, La Sapienza University of Rome. His research interests include guiding structures, numerical methods, theoretical scattering models, optical propagation, anisotropic media, metamaterials, biomedical applications, and cultural-heritage applications. Since April 2019, he has been a Researcher with the Electromagnetic Fields and Photonics Group, University of Brescia Brescia, Italy.
