Bio
Nasir Mahmood from School of Engineering, RMIT University, obtained his BSc degree in Chemistry from Punjab University in 2009 and his Master's degree in Materials and Surface Engineering from the National University of Science and Technology, Pakistan in 2011. His PhD (with distinction) in Materials Science and Engineering was obtained from Peking University, China in 2015.
His early career began at the University of Wollongong, Australia (2015-16) followed by a research fellow position at Tianjin University, China (2016-17). He is a co-founder of the Center of Micro-Nano Functional Materials and Devices, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in Sichuan. This centre, established in 2016, is dedicated to energy and environmental research. Nasir is currently working as a research fellow in the School of Engineering at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia.
He has also served as guest-editor on special issues and an editorial board member of various journals. His research involves the chemical design and synthesis of nanomaterials and their hybrid nanostructures with graphene/carbon for energy conversion and storage devices, thermoelectric and piezoelectric materials, wastewater treatment and biomedical applications of nanomaterials.
