Bio
I am an Associate Professor in Data Science at the School of Mathematics and Statistics. I am a biostatistician with 15 years international experience in the field of epidemiology and public health. My main research focus is on the development of novel disease burden measures and their application to health data to inform priorities for reducing burden of disease.
I have carried out research on several diseases, including cancer, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and mental health disorders, and a wide range of risk factors related to lifestyle, environment, and genes. At UNSW, I have developed expertise in the analysis of large linked primary and secondary health datasets aimed to inform prevention, treatment and costs of diseases.
