个人简介
My research interests are in evaluating the effects of novel therapies in ischemic stroke, with a particular focus on neuroinflammation. To achieve this aim, I am led to develop molecular imaging tools that allow to capture the spatiotemporal features of neuroinflammation in vivo. My main imaging targets are innate immune cells, especially microglia and macrophages. I use the entire spectrum of in vivo imaging modalities, including MRI, CT, ultrasound and optical imaging techniques. I also use corroborative methods such as neurobehaviour and histology. My work is driven by the unmet medical needs recognized by stroke patients and clinicians and aims at keeping a rigorous translational perspective.
