个人简介
PhD Mirjana Petronijević works as Research Associate at the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad in Serbia. She received her education at the Faculty of Science in Novi Sad in area of Environment Protection, especially in water treatment processes. She is the author and co-author of a few papers published in SCI journals and presented her results at numerous international and national conferences.
During her PhD studies, she was focused towards the utilizing advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) in drinking water treatment preparation. She examined the application of UV-AOPs and ozone-AOPs in the treatment of different water matrices and monitoring of natural organic matter content and disinfection by-products formation during water treatment.
Currently, she is working on the synthesis and characterization of solid materials (bio-char, hydro-char, magnetic-carbon material nano-composites), as well as on examining the possibilities of applying new generation materials for the remediation of aquatic environments contaminated with organic pollutants and heavy metals. She pay special attention to bio-catalytic wastewater treatments using immobilized enzymes on some solid supports.
Additionally, she is focused on modern techniques of extraction for the isolation of bio-active molecules from plants.
She was a participant in the student mobility program within the CEEPUS project, through which she was professionally trained in the field of in vitro cytotoxicity tests.
