Michal Mlejnek received the B.A. and M.S. degrees in optical physics from Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic in 1988, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in optical sciences from the College of Optical Science, University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ, USA in 1998. From 1998 to 1999, he was a Research Associate with the Department of Mathematics and Arizona Center for Mathematical Sciences, University of Arizona. In 1999, he joined Corning Incorporated, Corning, NY, USA, where he has held several positions. He is currently a Senior Research Associate with the Modeling and Scientific Computing Department, Science and Technology Division, Corning Incorporated. His research interests include applied mathematics, wave optics, quantum optics, and optics of materials. Dr. Mlejnek is a member of the Optical Society of America and Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
