I studied biology at the Buenos Aires University, where I developed my undergraduate thesis “Ulva sp. y Gymnogongrus torulosus como posibles depuradores de metales pesados”.
Afterwards, I made my PhD, with a fellowship granted by the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), at the Institute of Chemical Physics of Materials Environment and Energy, School of Sciences, University of Buenos Aires (FCEyN - UBA). March 2011. Director: M. dos Santos Afonso, PhD. Field of study: Alternative Methods for the Treatment of Environmental Contamination by Heavy Metals.
In 2011 I begin my post-doctorate, also with fellowship granted by CONICET, at School of Science and Technology. Universidad de San Martin. “Generation of biodiesel and decontamination of water and fluvial sediments using microalgae” Supervisor: Dr. Gustavo Curutchet.
In 2014 I became a CONICET researcher, studying the use of microalga for water remediation and metabolites obtention.
Along my student, graduate and researcher career I have attended over 30 Congresses and Symposiums and published 9 research papers and a few book chapters.
Since 2014 I have an assistant professor position at the University of San Martin.
My current research project is ' Microalgae of the Reconquista River: Potential use in the remediation of heavy metals present in acid effluents and the obtention of metabolites of commercial interest.."
