个人简介
Since 2004, Michel Shengo Lutandula has been interested in environmental and health issues related to the management of mining industry discharges, including their impacts on aquatic ecosystems and the health of local residents in the mining province of Haut-Katanga.
Since 2009, he has been involved in studies to improve waste management techniques in the metallurgical and mineralogical industry, in particular tailings and waste water from ore flotation by reprocessing in order to recover the base metals contained and recycling to minimize the environmental footprint of the local mining industry and contribute to the sustainable management of water resources.
From 2016 to 2018, as part of his professional activities, he conducted various environmental and social studies, expertise and counter-expertise in relation to the approval of environmental and social impact studies (EIAs) and environmental project management plans (PGEP), the renewal of the titles of metallurgical processing entities, the Corporate Social Responsibility as well as the regulation of various environmental and social issues opposing local populations, non-governmental organizations and mining companies in Upper Katanga.
He mastered the contours of the mining and environmental regulations and other legal instruments of the DRC for having used it in the exercise of his functions (for 2 years) in the Provincial Ministry of Mines, Land Affairs, Hydrocarbons, Energy and Environment of the Province of Haut-Katanga.
