个人简介
Currently, I am a Physicist in the Vehicle Technology Directorate at the Army Research Laboratory on the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. My main areas of research are thermal/environmental barrier coatings and functionalized materials.
Prior to this, I was a Research Associate at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I studied carbon nanostructures and inorganic nanofibers with an imaging XPS. Prior to this work, I was a graduate student at UAB, and Arts et Metiers ParisTech. This dual-doctorate program resulted in several publications on inorganic nanocomposite coatings for tribological applications. I gained valuable experience with XPS, SEM, XRD, nanoindentation, optical profilometry, and tribology. During this time, I have also investigated bimetallic, catalytic nanoparticles.
At The University of Alabama, my master's thesis project was interfacial magnetic enhancement in superlattice nanolaminates. Here, I became proficient with XRD/XRR, VSM, MOKE, magnetron sputtering, and polarized neutron reflectometry.
I also have experience with thin film thermal conductivity measurements using the 3-omega method.
