Bio
We continue work on molecular characterization of interfaces using reactive probe gases (NO2, O3, NH2OH, HCl, CF3COOH, N(CH3)3, C4H4S, SO2, H2S, H2O) on solid and liquid substrates using molecular-beam modulated MS coupled to a Knudsen flow reactor. Recently, the desorption kinetics of organic semivolatiles on mineral dust materials have revealed variable desorption lifetimes. In addition, small polar molecules such as H2O, HCl and NO2 undergo autocatalytic adsorption on soot and mineral dust.
