Bio
His current focus is on understanding the mechanism of early nucleation stage of the formation of corrosion scale over a range of environment of practical interest, using a number of state of the art techniques (several synchrotron beam-lines, e.g. I08, I14, in-situ TEM, Confocal Raman, SFG, PMIRRAS etc.) used in-situ and examining the feasibility of using these techniques to understand the early stage nucleation process at the highest possible spatial resolution. He is working with collaborators from Imperial College London, University of Manchester and BP.
