Bio
Maria Costa received the B.Sc. degree in electrotechnical and computer engineering and the M.Sc. degree in autonomous systems from the School of Engineering, Polytechnic of Porto, Porto, Portugal.
She gained significant experience in field operations, mostly maritime environments (operating from ship) in cooperation with the Portuguese Navy. She also had the opportunity to participate in several National and European projects and annual big-scale exercises (REP14, REP15, REP16, and REP17). She is currently a Robotics Engineer with the Robotics Research Laboratory, Laboratório de Sistemas e Tecnologias Subaquáticas, University of Porto, Porto. She is a Software Developer (OnBoard software—control, guidance, and navigation) and also a part of both the AUV and UAS field operational teams.
