Marie-Claude Geoffroy is an assistant professor at University McGill in Canada, clinical psychologist and Canada Research Chair (II) on youth mental health and suicide prevention. She is the recipient of many awards including the 2022 Principal's Prizes for Outstanding Emerging Researcher. She heads an interuniversity research team on suicide prevention named as the Papageno Team. She has published extensively in the field of suicide and youth mental health, suicide risk and protective factors, developmental origins, and most importantly, suicide prevention. Her work contributes to raising awareness about the current youth mental health crisis and building hope. Dr Geoffroy acts as an advisor to a range of national organizations on suicide prevention. She is actively engaged in various knowledge mobilization activities.
