Barbagianni Mariana is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Thessaly since March 2021. She has born in 1987, in Kozani. She is a graduate of the Veterinary School of the University of Thessaly and a doctorate from the Faculty of Veterinary Science of the same University with postgraduate training in Diagnostic Imaging at the Animal Clinic of the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is the author and co‐author of 22 scientific publications, with over 80 references and a total h‐index of 8. She has participated in more than 43 oral and poster announcements at national and international scientific conferences. She is a reviewer in 5 scientific journals. She has worked as a veterinarian in a pet clinic and in the Department of Veterinary Service of the Region of Thessaly.

Radiology and Ultrasonography of animals. Ultrasound functional imaging for the diagnosis of mammary diseases. Visual investigation of embryonic development, embryonic programming and intra‐uterine restricted growth.

2012‐2015: Application of ‘omic’ technologies for the genetic characterization of indigenous Greek dairy breeds of goats and sheep, for the improvement of their production and for the identification of potential bioactivity of their milk (GOSHOMICS).
