个人简介
Professor Ang's research interests include the interdisciplinary fields of early childhood and international development, and early childhood across cultures particularly in South East Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. Lynn is interested in the social, cultural and policy influences on children's development and early learning in a range of formal and informal contexts such as preschool and home-based settings. Her research focuses on the early years curriculum, international early years policy, and issues of diversity and inequality. Lynn has led major research grants including the first systematic review of the international evidence on early childhood development and peacebuilding across fourteen conflict-affected countries (2015-16). Her recent projects include leading an evidence-based intervention programme of professional development to improve the outcome for disadvantaged two-year olds in Newham, London (2018-2021) funded by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) and Co-Investigator of a UKRI-GCRF interdisciplinary Research Hub Action Against Stunting (2019-2024) which aims to tackle the global challenge of child stunting in India, Indonesia and Senegal. Prof Ang is particularly interested in constructions of early childhood care and education from an international perspective, the impact of research, and the ways in which socially relevant research and advocacy for children and families are translated into policy and practice. She has worked in Singapore, Scotland and now England. Lynn has led on major research projects from the British Academy, UNICEF, National College for School Leadership (NCL) and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) in the UK.
