I'm a professor in a multidisciplinary department at SFU (SIAT) centred on the design and use of human technology. My work centers around the intersection of interactive computing, visualization, information systems, and design, with a focus on the use of information technologies to promote sustainable living. I lead the Human-Centred Systems for Sustainable Living research group and work with academics, industry, government and the utilities. I also lead the Sustainable Communities theme of the GRAND NCE, a pan-Canadian research network in graphics, animation and new media.
