Currently, postdoc fellow in Tsinghua University, in School of Environment. Previously, PhD graduate from Virginia Tech, majoring in Environmental Engineering.
Looking for entry-level environment-related jobs in any environmental related company (e.g., consulting, R & D), or post-doc in the universities, national laboratories or other academic institutes. Fields in wastewater treatment, engineering process design, water supply/resource, energy conservation/recovery, modeling would be preferred. Research interest:
• Microbial fuel cell combined with other technologies (e.g., algal bioreactor, membrane bioreactor, microbial electrolysis cell) to treat wastewater and recover energy (e.g., algal biofuel, biohythane)
• Scale-up construction of system combination between microbial fuel cell and algal bioreactor to treat real wastewater and optimize system performance
• Mathematical engineering modeling to predict and optimize the performance of integrated system of microbial fuel cell and algal bioreactor (IPB system)
• Combination of engineering and statistical modeling to improve model prediction and optimize the performance of microbial fuel cell
• Improvement of electrode material (e.g., Ni-coated carbon fiber) in microbial fuel cell for better electricity generation and cost-effectiveness
• Staple isotope probing to trace carbon metabolism inside Shewanella Oneidensis MR-1 performing in microbial fuel cell
