Bio
Łukasz Krzczanowicz received the M.Sc. degree in “optoelectronics and optical waveguide technology” from the Department of Microsystem Electronics and Photonics, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Wrocław, Poland, in 2008 and the Ph.D. degree in optical communications in 2015 from the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, University of Limerick, Limerick, Ireland, where he was working on optical phase modulated data amplification and wavelength conversion using quantum-dot semiconductor optical amplifiers (QD-SOAs). He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies (AIPT), Aston University, Birmingham, U.K., where he is working on Raman amplification techniques for next generation, ultra-wideband optical communications systems.
