Łukasz Kruszewski

My research is mostly devoted to coal fires on waste heaps; it has mostly to do with geochemistry, mobilization and transport of elements and compounds in gases; analysis of minerals, waters, and rocks forming there. A research devoted to these topics was within a grant which involved a coupled use of in situ portable FTIR gas analyses, ex situ gas chromatography (MS, FID, EC), organics geochemistry by GC; PXRD-SEM and standardized EDS and ICP analysis of minerals, micro-Raman spectroscopy. I am also interested in new mineral species and new structures searching, mineral systematics, crystallochemistry & crystallography, Rietveld refinement, EPMA, SEM, geochemistry of rare elements, biogeochemistry, gas analysis, (semi)metal gas-phase transport, and environmental pollution studies.
