Bio
My main area of research is string- and M-theory. M-theory is the leading candidate for a fundamental unifying theory of all known forces in nature including gravity. Most of my work is concerned with the "phenomenology" of M-theory models, that is, with the task of relating M-theory to low-energy particle physics and early universe cosmology. Some of the problems I am currently interested in are heterotic model-building, algorithmic algebraic geometry, manifolds with G-structures, M-theory on manifolds with G2 holonomy, moduli stabilization and topology change in string cosmology. In the past I have been working on a wide range of topics including supergravity phenomenology, quantum cosmology, neutrino physics, M-theory phenomenology, brane-world models and string cosmology.
