Bio
Since 1998, he has been with the University of Kiel, Kiel, Germany, as a Professor of computational electromagnetics with the Faculty of Engineering. In 2017, he was on sabbatical leave as a Research Fellow with the University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy. His current research interests include theoretical aspects of scalar and electromagnetic fields, corresponding analytical and numerical methods and their application in scattering and diffraction, bio-magnetic fields, and EMC-related problems. He is also active as a consultant for industry, such as in developing methods and software for antenna near-field measurements.,Dr. Klinkenbusch is a member of the German VDE and an elected member of URSI Commission B. He co-organized the 2010 URSI Commission B International Symposium on Electromagnetic Theory in Berlin, Germany. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation. He was a recipient of the 2004 URSI Commission B International Electromagnetics Prize paper competition with a contribution entitled “Electromagnetic Scattering by a Plane Angular Sector.”
