Dr. Erickson has been engaged in clinical research and teaching in endocrine pathology and dermatopathology over the past 15 years, authoring or co-authoring more than 100 manuscripts and several books. She has served on the Melanoma Programme of the World Health Organization and is an author of the World Health Organization Tumours of Endocrine Organs. She received the Mayo Fellows Association Teacher of the Year Award. Dr. Erickson is involved in clinical cancer trials as the Pathology Research Base Chair and Director of Biospecimen Resource of the North Central Cancer Treatment Group and as a member of the Pathology Committee of the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, funded by the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Erickson also serves on the Steering Committee of the Group Banking Committee with the National Cancer Institute to oversee the management and use of biospecimen banks. In addition to her editorial positions, Dr. Erickson serves on the editorial boards of several journals.
