Working as a lecturer in the department of chemistry, IIIT Ongole campus, RGUKT from 12th June 2021 to still date.
Recently I have worked as a post-doctoral fellow under the supervision of Prof Xingmao Xiang, Wuhan Institute of Technology, Wuhan, Hubei province, China during the period of 2019 - 2020.
I have worked on the development of graphene-based bi metallic nanocomposites for electrocatalysis of fuel cell reactions. My focused areas are the exfoliation of monolayer graphene, monodispersed bimetallic nanoparticles on graphene towards energy applications. My research experience gave me new directions in research and was immensely helpful in developing soft-skill areas: research management, communication skills, personal effectiveness, networking, team working and career management, presenting papers at conferences, and managing projects.
I have worked in my Ph.D. studies entitled “Electrocatalysis of Fuel cell reactions on Graphene-supported Bimetallic Nanocomposites”. In which I have exfoliated graphene layer by modified hummers method from natural graphite and successfully fabricated Pd@Au, Au@Pd, and Pt@Au core-shell, Pt-on-Ru heterostructured nanoparticles supported on graphene layers. The fabricated materials have been tested for methanol oxidation reaction (MOR), ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR), formic acid oxidation reaction (FAOR), and cathodic oxygen reduction reaction in fuel cell application. By this research, I have successfully exfoliated monolayer graphene by modified hummer's method and the fabrication of uniform dispersed narrow size bimetallic core-shell nanoparticles successfully developed on graphene by catalytic dehydrogenation, redox transmetallation, and heteroepitaxial growth methods by using mild reducing agents such as methyl ammonia borane (MeAB), sodium hypophosphite and L-Ascorbic acid.
I also worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Wuhan institute of technology
Present I am looking to the development of hetero atom doped graphene supported nanomaterials and single-atom catalysts (SAC) for fuel cell, supercapacitor, solar energy, and other relevant applications.
I worked as a junior research fellow during the period 2014-2016 in the project entitled "Development of Core-Shell Structured Bimetallic–Graphene Nanocomposites for Fuel Cell Reactions" (Project Number: SB/S1/PC-98/2012) funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), INDIA.
