Bio
Qingwang Liu received the B.E. degree in surveying engineering from the College of Geoscience and Technology, Shandong University of Science and Technology, Qingdao, China, in 2001, the M.E. degree in geodesy and surveying engineering from the College of Geoscience and Surveying Engineering, University of Mining and Technology, Beijing, China, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in forest management from the Chinese Academy of Forestry, Beijing, in 2009.
From 2011 to 2012, he was a Trainee with the European Space Research Institute, European Space Agency, Frascati, Italy. From 2018 to 2019, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Department of Geography and Environmental Resources, Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL, USA. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Research Institute of Forest Resource Information Techniques, Chinese Academy of Forestry, Beijing. His research interests include forest structure measurement and modeling, forest disturbance, and change monitoring using light detection and ranging (LiDAR) and photogrammetry.
