Linh Viet Nguyen

Linh Viet Nguyen received the Ph.D. degree in information and communications from the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Gwangju, South Korea, in 2009, on the topic of fiber optics devices. He is a Research Fellow at the Future Industries Institute, University of South Australia, Adelaide, SA, Australia. His research focuses on understanding optical effects within fiber optics and optical waveguides, with a particular interest in multipath optical transmission media, and their applications in various fields from health care, and defense to industrial monitoring. Since then, he has published over 50 articles related to fiber sensing technologies, fiber lasers, and the application of machine learning in optical sensing.
