Linda Hinnov conducts time series analysis and modeling of geological signals relating to past global climate change, Earth’s tidal evolution and rotational history, and calibration of geologic time. She has worked in the geophysical exploration industry, on Earth’s polar motion at the U.S. Naval Observatory, and on the astronomical forcing of paleoclimate at Johns Hopkins University, where today she is a research professor in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences.
